New Features
The 'Properties' dialog box for files and folders now supports multiple selections.
The new kernel pata_xxx SCSI emulation drivers are now fully supported. The burn engine has been updated so that it can be used correctly.
The DVD ISO images burn process has been improved.
Added some additional information to the preview widget in the 'Open compilation' and 'Open Image' dialog boxes. The user is now able to see the properties of a selected compilation/image (e.g. size, duration, etc.).
A warning dialog box has been added to inform the user when loading a compilation with non-existing items.
Added some more pre-burn checks:
- for data discs, mode 1 is selected for non-CD medium types
- for CD EXTRA compilation: at least one audio track should be present
Item duplication can be handled without replacing the original item.
When ripping an audio track, the '/' character is automatically replaced by '_' for the output file name.
The 'Disc Info' dialog box output for DVD-RW is now fixed.
The Japanese manual has been updated.
'Ok' and 'Cancel' buttons have been added to the date chooser widget so that it is more user friendly.
The splash screen is now correctly centered by all window managers when Nero Linux starts.
Some keyboard accelerators have been added to the 'Encode Files' dialog box.

The 'Data' button of the Mixed-Mode/CD EXTRA compilation editor has been improved.
It is now possible to fully erase a disc on an IDE internal device with new kernels.
The 'Eject the disc when the erase is complete' option was updated.

The direct connection to FreeDB servers has been improved.
The re-sampling of audio file when creating Audio CD out was improved.

Changes/Bugfixes
If no freedb match can be found in the "Save Tracks" dialog box then an error dialog box appears to inform the user.
The installation scripts have been updated according to the package standards, thereby avoiding incompatibilities with other distributions.
The source device in the "Save Tracks" dialog box is now locked when ripping audio tracks.
When canceling a file encoding process, the current partially encoded file is deleted and its status remains at "Not done" in the "Encode Files" dialog box.
The ALSA driver is now able to correctly deal with the multichannel function on all sound cards.
The source and target paths are compared before encoding an audio file. A warning dialog box appears if they are identical.
The user now has to confirm that he really wants to abort when an audio file encoding process is in progress.
